Groth Vineyards: One of Napa Valley’s Finest

Napa Valley is home to some of the world’s best vineyards and wineries. Not only known for its stunning picturesque views, Napa Valley is also known for the  world class wines. One of the area’s most renowned is the Groth Vineyards and Winery.

Groth Vineyards and Winery

Across 121 acres of land producing Oakville grapes and wines, the Groth Vineyards and Winery is the known home for some of the world’s finest Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon. Since it was first bought by Dennis and Judith Groth in 1981, this prime piece of Napa Valley land has sought to produce wonderful Oakville crushes. It is then not surprising that merely just a year later and just a short while after its first crush, another 44 acres were added onto the property to concentrate on the production of Merlot and Chardonnay.

The success of the Groth Vineyard and Winery was almost instantaneous, so much so that Dennis and Judith had to move directly into the property in 1985 just to be able to focus on handling the winery’s growing demands and profits. At this very same year, it also received a major milestone when wine expert and connoisseur Robert Parker awarded 100 points to the 1985 Groth Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. And nearly a decade after it was initially developed, the Groth Vineyard had its winery building finished, something that just mirrors the level of success which came from producing some of the region’s most renowned and splendid wines.
